PRP for Skin Rejuvenation

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy has become one of the most sought-after procedures for all types of skin rejuvenation. PRP therapy is a non-surgical, minimally invasive procedure that uses the patient's own blood to stimulate collagen production and improve the overall health and appearance of their skin.

At Skin & Things By Kat, we use state-of-the-art technology to extract a small amount of the patient's blood and process it to concentrate the platelets. The concentrated platelets are then injected back into the patient's skin using different modalities including skin needling, RF microneedling, Co2 laser, and injections by fine needles. The entire procedure takes about an hour to complete, and most patients experience minimal discomfort and can return to their daily activities immediately after the treatment.

PRP therapy has been shown to be effective in treating a variety of skin concerns, including fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, acne scars, and uneven skin tone. The platelets in the concentrated solution release growth factors that promote healing and stimulate collagen production, leading to improved skin texture and a more youthful appearance.

Our experienced professionals work closely with each client to create a personalised treatment plan based on their unique needs and goals. We pride ourselves on providing safe, effective, and affordable PRP therapy for skin rejuvenation, and we are committed to helping our patients achieve the beautiful, healthy skin they deserve.

Skin And Things PRP

Step 1

Take a blood sample

Your blood is collected by an on-site clinician. It is then spun in a centrifuge to seperate the red blood cells, white blood cells

Step 2

Centrifuge

The fresh blood sample is placed directly into the centrifuge and then spun. The fast spinning along with the specialised gel separator is what assists in purifying the hair treatment with more than 80% platelet recovery and purity

Step 3

Injecting & Infusing

The PRP is then injected into the treated area using a tiny needle. Clients usually feel the same sensation as a mosquito bite. We also use a micro needling device to open channels in the skin to allow topical absorption.

Other modalities such as RF Needling and Co2 Lasers produce great results for skin rejuvenation and resurfacing when paired with PRP

Step 3

Results

The results of PRP therapy can vary depending on the patient's individual skin type and concerns. However, most patients will see initial results within a few weeks, and the results can last up to a year or more with ongoing treatments.
